Makini School

Overview

Our primary school has children from 6 to 13 years and comprises class one to class eight. The students are prepared and sit for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (K.C.P.E.) at the end of class 8. The subjects covered in the curriculum are: Science, Social Sciences, Mathematics, English, Kiswahili, Computer Studies, Christian Religious Education (C.R.E) or Islamic Religious Education (I.R.E) and French by specialist teachers. The progress of all pupils is carefully monitored by Subject Teachers under the direction of the Heads of Lower, Middle and Upper School. Each class has an individual Class Teacher. Our lessons are focused and interactive. We strive to cater for a range of learning styles and celebrate all special skills and talents. Through this exciting and varied teaching style we try to foster a love of learning in the children. We are keen for them to feel like a part of the school to which they belong.
