Overview

Our Pre- School has children aged from 2 to 8 years. The Nursery classrooms provide purposeful, bright and stimulating learning environment. Each classroom layout is reflective of the ethos of learning through play and practical activity, with separate areas for free writing and reading ensuring a constant buzz of activity. There is a library area with picture books from which to choose and an extensive play area equipped with wheeled toys, imaginative play equipment and large construction toys. Educational outings form an integral part of our Pre-School. There are scheduled visits to parks and museums among other places. Visiting artists, authors, illustrators and speakers also play an important role. Children have weekly lessons in Choral, Music and Physical Education incorporating swimming, games and dance. They also use the computer laboratory. Computer skills are gained through educational games and play. These lessons also reinforce children's literacy and numeracy skills. Great emphasis is placed on forging strong home-school links so that all children feel welcome, happy and secure in their new environment.
